I listened to your Rome song on our local affiliate. I thought it was one of the biggest pieces of CRAP I've ever heard, and frankly, since they said it was from NIEMS before they played it, I expected more, since you are supposedly a "professional musician". I have been a musician also for over 20 years and I couldn't believe how LAME that song was. You would think that since the only reason people know about you is from the Jim Rome Show, you would be thankful for whatever publicity (albeit BAD) you get from him. I'm all for ripping Rome, I'm not writing you because I was offended as a "Clone", I'm writing because I was offended as a MUSICIAN.

Hey Big Guy Dude Rome- May 6th is your one year anniversary of the Rome Is Burning Show and my 52nd birthday! I may call you tomorrow and hope I can go on the air and thank the Clones for all the good Karma the last few weeks and thank those Clones who have purchased the two song CD's with "Michael's Dad" and "The Jim Rome Song"! It would mark the second time I actually got on the air with you! The first was the Friday before Father's day of 2000! If you ever do a tour stop in Vegas I will have a band ready to play for the Clones for sure! I will have to do a kinder and gentler version of The JR Song if you continue to be NICE like you have! I feel like a Cubs fan or a Red Sox fan after winning it all because I'm not sure how to take all this NICE talk from you! Are you guys setting me up for something down the road? OUT Niems

Thank you for letting me know that they're playing "The Jim Rome Song" in Detroit! As for your comments, let's just say that if you had any idea how hurt I was and have been for the abuse I've taken from JR and his clones then the song may make a little more sense to you! As for musicianship well yeah the song is a joke to Rome and the clones and it's not supposed to be some fantastic new music but what it is is a pay back and every word that I wrote in the song is the truth about your leader Jim Rome! Do you think for a minute that he cares about all you kiss ass clones? He's as phony as they get and don't be so quick to defend a guy who makes fun of a serious song tribute (Who's father died tragically) to a father and his son!(Who happens to be MJ-one of the greatest athletes we'll ever see-and notice I said athlete and not per say persons-which we know MJ's not perfect)! So for over 6 years I'm supposed to let Rome and the clones make fun of a tribute song to a father and son that comes from the heart and you're telling me I'm wrong for this? By the way, did Rome play this or did the affiliate in Detroit?

I know he's coming to your town soon! Also, as far as a musician get this I just finished my 6th cd in ten years and the title track will be on a charity cd that will be in every record store in NYC in two weeks with the likes of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Kevin Eubanks, Charlie Parker, Dizzy G and a host of world artists and will be joining the living artists for a concert in Central Park in September! Only 33 tracks and the company that compiled the cd listened to 1000's of songs and NIEMS is one of the few tracks picked! If you would like a signed cd you can hear for yourself that Niems is A: a good guy and B: a pretty damn good composer who never ever wanted his "Michael's Dad" tune to be made fun of but rather just listened to and help admire James Jordan-Michael's Dad!
